  • My First Real Post

I guess I shall begin by saying that I told myself I would not post to a blog ever again because I told myself it's stupid. Why would you want to remember your past? But then I find myself occasionally going to my old site rereading things I've posted in the past. So I guess I do want to remember.

Last night I went to watch "He's Just Not That Into You" and found it to be surprisingly...great. It had the right amount of comedy and romance. I was looking forward to watching it only because there's a superstar cast --Jennifer Aniston, Scarlett Johansson, Drew Barrymore, Jennifer Connelly, Ben Affleck, etc. so I figured it'd be good. I never even heard of the book before.

Ginnifer Goodwin was just fantastic. She's really pretty too.  Her character Gigi was hilarious. Boy I hope I don't become one of those desperate women like her. One scene in particular struck a familiar chord. Stop reading if you don't like spoilers...After Gigi starts talking to Alex (played by Justin Long) and asking him for advice on dating, she begins to suspect that he might have the hots for her. What factors contribute to this  conclusion?

    1. Alex interrupted his date with another girl to talk on the phone with Gigi
    2. Alex said he wanted to introduce Gigi to his cousin, who never showed, leading Gigi to suspect that this "cousin" didn't exist and Alex was just trying to meet with her
    3. Alex invited Gigi over to his house party. She sincerely hoped it was as his date.

There might've been one more. Anyway this just reminded me of how #2 happened to me in the past. In high school, T invited me to meet up with him and his cousin at the mall. I was surprised when T came by himself. The cousin never showed up and I thought it was just a rouse to spend time with me. I still don't know if that cousin really exists but sometimes I will add up these tiny details, which might not mean anything at all, and conclude that this guy likes me. Dating can be so stressful and confusing but sometimes it's fun to dream, isn't it?

I spent three hours traveling to Flushing today to see an audio specialist. I might have hearing problems because I was told to come back in two weeks.
I never thought I'd have wires stuck to my forehead and behind my ears listening to the most irritating noises but there I was.
